Why are they called “Inner islands”?

The Inner Islands which are mostly granitic, consist of 41 islands forming a cluster around the principal islands of Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue, some with peaks rising nearly 1,000m high, forming the  Seychelles cultural and economic hub, as well as its main tourism industry center. Together they are home to the majority of Seychelles’ accommodation facilities as well almost the entire population of the archipelago. There are 43 Inner islands in total, 41 of them granitic and only 2, Denis Island and Bird Island, low-lying coral islands.

4 Days Charter Itinerary to the Inner Islands

Day 1 -> Eden Island

Get ready to receive a fantastic welcome from your crew ready to show you all the comforts and pluses of your luxury yacht. The first stop on the journey is Eden Island, an artificial island created in the 2000s that you can explore not only by sea but also through its typical and delicious dishes, to be enjoyed in restaurants overlooking its sparkling blue waters. After a relaxing sunbath on the beach, you can dive with your equipment to appreciate the landscapes of the seabed and touch the frenetic activity and the colors of the underwater flora and fauna. Set sail for one of the protected bays around the island for night anchoring.

Day 2 -> Eden Island – St. Anne

A thrilling glimpse of the bay accompanies your breakfast and gives you a unique shot to photograph as you cruise to one of the large islands of St. Marine National Park. You can discover St. Anne Island with an excursion among the flora and wild fauna and already at a height of 400 meters you can admire very scenic panoramic views. Indulge in a quiet picnic before returning to your exclusive catamaran to rest. The best dive site on the island between Sainte Anne and Moyenne, with corals of different colors and an abundance of fish in the underwater garden, can offer you amazing landscapes and you can find yourself swimming among stingrays, octopuses, and the splendid Hawksbill turtles. Non-motorized water sports are the only ones allowed to preserve these treasures of the sea. Dock your yacht for the night to enjoy the silver moon reflecting off the sea.

Day 3 -> St. Anne – Moyenne Island – Long Island

Another jewel of the Marine National Park is Moyenne Island, a reserve rich in flora and fauna that you can reach in the morning, in a few minutes, aboard your catamaran. Spend your free time with a walk among the beautiful soft sand beaches or take a dip in its crystal clear waters. You can dedicate a few hours to snorkeling and visit the underwater seabed to get close to thousands of fish, rays, and sharks even with your underwater camera to take extraordinary photos. Taste the tempting dishes your chef prepares and before the sun goes down you can take a short visit to Long Island, covered with coconut palms and characterized by fabulous beaches of soft sand and clear turquoise waters. When you come back you can give yourself a little relaxation before having dinner.

Day 4 -> Long Island – Cerf Island – Eden Island

Set sail from Long Island for your final stop to Cerf Island for an exciting nature experience full of discoveries. If there is low tide, you can also walk around the island along the beach that surrounds it or cross it in 45 minutes thanks to two paths that allow you to observe some unusual animals such as flying foxes and the inevitable giant tortoises. Alternatively, you can go diving on a snorkel trail directly accessible from the beach and perfect even for beginners with four points well marked by explanatory buoys. A multitude of colorful fish and variegated corals await you, including the rare “black coral”. Resume navigation as you savor your lunch and head to Victoria Harbor for an afternoon to spend as you please between shopping or water sports. Finish with a private beach barbecue under a pristine night sky.
