What is the Best Type of Boat to Rent for a Holiday with Children?

We assume it is a subjective choice, also dictated by personal opinions. However, if we had to give you our opinion on a holiday with children on board, we would only suggest a catamaran or a motorboat. Both these boats guarantee greater stability than a classic monohull sailboat, which, by its nature, is more subject to the sea waves.

They also guarantee greater space, both inside and outside, giving the little ones room to move more freely and have fun.

The catamaran, in particular, is composed of two aligned hulls and guarantees little sway. For this reason, it is particularly suitable for those who have never experienced boating or are afraid of seasickness.

Whatever type of boat you choose, our advice is to inform your broker in advance that there will be children with you, so the boat can be equipped with all necessary safety equipment.

Finally, on the boat it is necessary to adopt some good habits: apply sunscreen often, especially on children (we recommend you to choose creams with a low impact on the marine world!), always have a hat and a windbreaker available to avoid sunstrokes during the day or temperature changes in the evening, finally have with you (or check that you have it on board) an anti-seasickness drug as well as an anti jellyfish lotion.

Will my Child Adapt to the Boat Life?
