One Week Yacht Itinerary in the Kornati Islands
Having no fresh water sources, they are largely arid and bare, scarcely covered only by grass or low bushes. However, each island retains its own beauty, and indeed, the lack of vegetation makes the bizarre rock formations even more evident, which, thanks to the white color, stand out like jewels against the intense blue of the Adriatic.
Among the park’s islands, you can observe many species of animals and plants and then let yourself be carried away by the fantastic uncontaminated landscape. The perfect destination for couples and families looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday immersed in the lush nature of Croatia, the Kornati islands represent the perfect prototype of a location for a relaxing charter boat trip and are also suitable for those with no previous experience.

Week yacht charter itinerary around the Kornati Islands
Day 1: Departure from Zadar
As a port of embarkation, we chose Zadar, one of the most important seaside resorts in Croatia. It is also a place rich in history, famous for the Roman and Venetian ruins that outline its historic center, starting with the forum.
There are many monuments to admire in Zadar. The most important is the church of San Donato, one of the most important Byzantine monuments in Dalmatia. Built at the beginning of the 9th century on the pavement of the Roman forum, it is the symbol of the city, and a visit here is essential.
Between the churches of San Donato and Santa Maria extends the area of the ancient Roman forum, of which, unfortunately, few fragments remain, while of the system of 10 towers originally placed on the edge of the walls, only the Captain’s tower, built by the Venetians, remains. to resist the attacks of the Turks.
In Zadar, there is certainly no shortage of beaches where you can relax and enjoy the sea.
Families with children love Kolovare Beach, a large beach surrounded by a pine forest with a playground, and Borik Beach, also characterized by beautiful stretches of soft sand, slides, and water parks.
Then there is Punta Bajlo, which can be reached by walking along the sea to the southern peninsula in the Arbanasi area.

Day 2: Zdrelac, Pasman Island
We stop in Zdrelac, the first town on the island of Pasman, where we meet once we pass the bridge that connects Pasman to Ugljan. It is a nice quiet village, where you can relax and enjoy the sun, the sea, and the beaches, which are mostly rocky and sandy. Sand is the main feature of Pasman Island, famous for its golden sandy beaches and spectacularly colored sea.
Beyond the strait that separates the island Pasman from the island Ugljan, to overcome which a 210-meter-long bridge was built in 1973, there is a beautiful inlet with buoys to anchor boats coming from the nearby mainland.
The island of Pasman is part of the Zadar archipelago and occupies an area of 63 square kilometers. It has eight inhabited centers in the part facing the mainland: Pasman, on the homonymous canal, Tkon in front of Biograd na Moru, Kraj, a country village overlooking vineyards and olive groves, Nevidane with its archaeological remains from the Roman era and Zdrelac immediately after the bridge.
The island is not very animated from a tourist point of view despite hosting several small campsites and numerous holiday apartments. Still, it is instead sought after for its tranquility, beaches, and sandy bottoms easily accessible for children, natural beauty, and proximity. The west coast is planted with vines, while the eastern part is covered by dense Mediterranean scrub.

Day 3: Molat Island
Molat measures less than 25 square kilometers and has just over 200 inhabitants: the ideal place to spend a relaxing and peaceful holiday but not only.
Molat is particularly suitable for lovers of sports adventure and the outdoors.
Among the various typical activities of the island, one can admire the dozens of different species of butterflies that are a constant presence in the fields and along the coasts. They are a true beauty.
Alternatively, you can go out to sea with a kayak and travel over kilometers, paddling around the island and visiting sunken wrecks, sandy beaches, and ancient piers from the Roman era.
You can photograph the dolphins, a permanent presence in the waters around Molat, or pedal far and wide on the island using the numerous paths that lead from one side of the coast to the other, crossing flower meadows and rocky expanses where you can also meet some sheep grazing placidly.
Finally, fishing lovers have bread for their teeth: whether fishing from the shore, from the boat, or in apnea, the sea around Molat is full of life, fish, and shells. There are corals and starfish, caves, submerged crevasses, and spectacular sandbanks.
Day 4: Ilovik Island
The island of Ilovik is one of the most fascinating places in Croatia, and it is worth a visit, especially if you are fond of hiking in untouched and wild nature.
It is part of the archipelago of the Kvarner islands, located southeast of the southern tip of Istria.
The channel that separates the two islands enjoys an excellent geographical position, which is why it has always been the preferred landing point for yachts and small boats.
Here the coast is easily accessible with bays that are well sheltered everywhere. The largest is the sandy one of Parzine, located to the south, about twenty minutes walk from the characteristic homonymous village, which has about 170 inhabitants.
The ancient and picturesque fishing village is located in a small protected inlet north of the inhabited islet of San Pietro. It is an ideal refuge for those who want a day away from the chaos and frenetic nightlife.

Day 5: Pag Island
Pag is a splendid island in the north of Dalmatia. Its jagged coastline composes bays and coves with a singular identity. Pag is a natural paradise of relaxation and, at the same time, the entertainment capital of Dalmatia.
The island of Pag is a favorite destination for all those who want a holiday with clean beaches, clear seas, lots of fun, and good food.
The island is the fourth largest in the Dalmatian archipelago, the largest of which is Sveti Vid, 348 meters above sea level.
The main resorts are Pag, Novalja, Lun, Kolan, Stara Novalja, Dinjiska, Povljana, Metajna, Zubovici, Simuni, Vlasici, Gorica, Kosljun, and Caska.
The island of Pag has about 270 kilometers of coastline, with beaches suitable for all tastes: sand, pebbles, gravel, and cliffs.
One of the most famous beaches is Zrce, which is made up of pebbles and crystal clear waters. Here, there are also many clubs open until late at night, for this reason, it is among the most loved by young people from all over the world.

There is only one settlement on the island, whose history dates back to Roman times, and it is surrounded by many hidden bays and wide, shallow sandy beaches that are ideal for swimming, boating, and diving. Given their hidden location, you will be able to enjoy the crystal clear sea without the fear of crowds.
The homonymous village of Olib has shops, restaurants, and a tourist office. You should know that cars are not allowed on the island. Sports and leisure lovers can enjoy cycling, jogging paths, beach volleyball, and basketball. If you want to learn something about the island’s traditions, you can visit where oil, cheese, and wine were traditionally produced.
Day 7: Disembark in Sukosan
We end our itinerary in Sukošan, a tourist village in a large bay called ” Zlatna Luka ” (the golden port). It is 7 kilometers from Zadar in the south direction with which a provincial road connects it.
Although the town has only 3,000 inhabitants, it is a village devoted to tourism. Over 3,000 beds are offered in apartments for rent, pensions, and hotels, as well as numerous campsites located near the sea.
Thanks to the renowned marina, Sukošan has also become a true paradise for sailors and all those who stop here on board their own yachts. This is thanks to the Marina Dalmacija, which has 1200 berths, 500 dry berths, and a private beach located within the marina area, a unique case on the Adriatic.
Another advantage of this small Dalmatian town is the proximity of five well-known national parks and two natural parks, the best known of which are Kornati National Park, Paklenica National Park, Plitvice National Park, Telascica Nature Parks, Vrana Lake, and Velebit.
