For example, the one who talks about the British Virgin Islands: How to discover the Caribbean?
If you have never heard of St. Vincent and the Grenadines don’t blame yourself. It is an archipelago of 32 islands, most of which are small and sparsely populated, unknown to the most.
They are part of a Caribbean island belt that ideally separates the Atlantic Ocean from the Caribbean Sea. They are located exactly north of Venezuela, between the islands of Santa Lucia and Grenada.

Historically part of the British Empire as an English colony of the “Little Antilles”, today they are an independent state that is part of the Commonwealth.
The official language is English but some local dialects deriving from French are also spoken.
This archipelago, in addition to being characterized by a calm and crystal clear waters’ sea, is reached by a constant wind almost all year round. This makes it the ideal place for sailing lovers and more experienced sailors.
Do not worry! This does not mean that it is a destination for expert navigators only.
Aboard a boat or a catamaran
Every company operating in these areas offers the possibility to organize tours and cruises aboard catamarans and motorboats.
Even people without any sail experience can enjoy this kind of vacation. Your rental company will be pleased to provide you with a professional skipper who’ll steer the craft and give you useful advice. His main goal is to let you relax and spend your time on board in safety.
The kind of tourism you can find here is not yet massive, it is still a very exclusive place instead. Just think that some of the islands that make it up are still privately owned today.
The charm of the still-wild Caribbean has made it so famous that it has also attracted internationally renowned personalities. It is no coincidence that on most of the islands there are only a few very luxurious resorts and large yachts are moored in the piers.
The best-known islands that compose this island state are St. Vincent, Bequia, and Mustique.
The largest among them is St. Vincent where the capital Kingstown is also located. Here you can appreciate, in addition to the unspoiled nature and the famous Caribbean beaches, also folkloristic and colorful music festivals. The local cuisine or “Creole” cuisine, based on local shellfish and fruit such as the fruit of the breadfruit, is also worth tasting.

Bequia, on the other hand, is better known for its lively nightlife and entertainment spots. In its main center, Port Elizabeth, the craftsmen work with wood building various sizes of wooden boats. Here you can also find fairs and markets where you can stock up on souvenirs.
Finally, Mustique is probably the most exclusive of the archipelago islands. It offers a few and expensive villas overlooking a dream sea that is home to several coral reefs.
