We are talking about the Miami Boat Show that was supposed to take place in a few days, from 11 to 15 February, at the Miami Marine Stadium in Virginia Key island.

The Miami Boat Show – A key event on the world scene

The Miami Boat Show is an annual event that takes place in February and is produced by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) of Miami.

This event attracts visitors from approximately 35 countries in South Florida each year and is attended by hundreds of companies related to the marine industry and the production of products used by boaters and fishermen throughout the United States.

The North American market for pleasure boats represents in fact about half of the global demand for these products and services with a turnover approaching 40 billion dollars per year.

The Miami Boat Show was postponed to 2022

As widely announced, the event has therefore been moved to next year and will take place during the President Day weekend, starting from Wednesday 16 until Sunday 20 February 2022.

Furthermore, after an absence of five years, the terrestrial part of the event will take place at the Miami Beach Convention Center after a complete renovation. A change of location after years in which it took place at the Miami Marine Stadium and Park.

The water activities will instead be distributed in three locations: at the Sea Isle Marina, at One Herald Plaza, and at the Island Gardens Deep Harbor on Watson island.

Important news about the Show

The big news that characterizes the next edition of the event, however, is linked to the partnership signed between the two main operators who will join forces to create a single nautical sector event in Miami.

In fact, the National Marine Manufacturers Association, owner of the Miami International Boat Show, and Informa Markets, co-owner, and producer of the Miami Yacht Show, announced to have reached a historic agreement to create in joint production the main winter boat show in South Florida. A single major event of international significance will therefore be created with a truly impressive turnover.

The joint event will be called the Miami International Boat Show.

The reasons for the partnership: Miami International Boat Show

As stated by both operators, this partnership is the result of a collaboration between NMMA and Informa Markets which took place in order to serve and help the nautical sector in the best possible way and to offer its visitors the best possible experience.

For the organizers, it will in fact be a seamless and unprecedented experience for the participants and an economic advantage for the cities of Miami, Miami Beach and in general for South Florida.

An opportunity also for boat dealers participating in the Show in Miami

Among the many innovations, the next edition will also see the return of the Miami Dealers Days which will take place from 14 to 15 February 2022, therefore during the two days preceding the official start of the exhibition.

On these two dates, the doors of the Miami Beach Convention Center will be open exclusively to sector exhibitors who will thus have the opportunity to discuss, study new growth opportunities, and sign new partnerships.
