Catamaran , watercraft made up of two connected hulls or a singlehull with two parallel keels. Originally used by the natives of Polynesia, the catamaran design was adopted by Western boatbuilders in the 19th cent. Because the twin hulls of the Polynesian catamaran are actually logs or other pieces of wood, the vessel is more like a raft than a boat. An extremely stable craft, it can bepaddled or sailed even in the heavy waves of the S Pacific. The American Nathanael Herreshoff first built Western-type catamaransin the 1870s. The twin-hulled sailing or motor boat has since become a popular pleasure craft, largely because of its speed andstability. High-speed catamaran ferries can exceed 40 knots (74 kmper hr). Catamarans range from 12 ft (3.7 m) to 315 ft (96 m) inlength and are among the world’s fastest sailing and motor craft.[/et_single][et_single icon=”hand-o-down” tab_title=”Why choose it”]
-Level sailing gives greater comfort and is less tiring
-A catamaran offers lots of space and privacy, flat position on water and great sailing performance
-No rolling in an anchorage
-Cruise in shallow water
-Thanks to extended space guests can spread
-Faster than sailing boats[/et_single][et_single icon=”check” tab_title=”What to know “]
-Catamarans are lighter due to the fact there is no keel counterweight
-Catamarans have a wider beam, which makes them more stable
-The greater stability means that the sail is more likely to stayupright in a gust[/et_single][et_single icon=”suitcase” tab_title=”What to bring”]
-T-shirts & Shorts
-Boat & walking shoes
-Hat and sunglasses
