While major events such as MYBA and MEDYS often take center stage, the East Mediterranean yacht charter market is shaped just as much by more specialized shows.

The East Med Multihull Yacht Show and the TYBA Yacht Charter Show offer a more focused perspective—highlighting specific yacht categories, regional fleets, and operational insights essential for building accurate charter recommendations.

EXPLORE THE YACHTS FOR CHARTER IN THE EAST MEDITERRANEAN

East Med Multihull Yacht Show: The Multihull Specialist Event

Held in Poros, the East Med Multihull Yacht Show is entirely dedicated to catamarans and multihull yachts.

At this level, it becomes much easier to compare layouts, onboard flow, and real living space, especially when exploring a curated selection of crewed catamarans available for charter.

This is particularly relevant in the 50–80ft segment, where many of the most in-demand yachts are positioned and where differences between models are not always obvious at first glance.

Why Multihulls Continue to Grow in Popularity

Catamarans have become a central part of the charter market, especially for:

Families
Groups of friends
Clients prioritizing space and comfort

This growing demand reflects a broader shift in client preferences—something we explore in more detail in our article on why crewed catamarans are dominating yacht charters under 100 feet.

Among the most represented yachts at the show, models from Lagoon play a key role, particularly in the 55 to 80-foot range, which we explore further in our guide to Lagoon catamarans and the best models for charter.

Alongside Lagoon, Sunreef Yachts catamarans for charter stand out for their higher-end positioning, offering larger volumes and a more refined onboard experience.

Selected Catamarans to Consider

Within this category, you can find well-known charter catamarans such as Christal Mio 80, Ad Astra, J Sparrow, Cartouche, and Above & Beyond, each offering a different balance of layout, design, and onboard lifestyle.

This type of yacht is particularly well-suited to luxury catamarans for charter in Greece, where short cruising distances, protected waters, and multiple island routes create ideal conditions for multihull cruising.

TYBA Yacht Charter Show: A Broader View of the Market

The TYBA Yacht Charter Show offers a complementary perspective, showcasing a wide variety of yachts, including:

This diversity makes it particularly valuable for understanding how the Turkish charter market operates and how it differs from other Mediterranean regions.

Exploring the Turkish Charter Market

Turkey remains one of the most distinctive charter destinations, offering:

Extensive cruising areas
A mix of modern and traditional yachts
A more flexible itinerary structure

For those considering this region, it is possible to explore a selection of yachts available for charter in Turkey, each offering a different cruising experience.

Compared to other Mediterranean destinations, Turkey often allows for longer routes and a more relaxed cruising pace, making it particularly appealing to clients seeking a different type of itinerary.

Connecting the East Med to the Wider Charter Market

Together, EMMYS and TYBA complement other key events such as:

Mediterranean Yacht Show
MYBA Charter Show
Palma International Boat Show

Each of these contributes to a broader understanding of the charter market across different yacht types and destinations.
