Palma

Having deep artistic roots, Palma has multiple art museums and galleries. La Seu, Palma’s vast cathedral is a gothic architecture worth witnessing. Construction of this cathedral continued from 1229 to 1901. A short walk from the Cathedral lays The Rocks. Sa Rapita
Sailing southeast of Palma at a distance of about 42.2 km will take you to Sa Rapita. Es Trenc, Sa Rapita’s 3 km long beach is one of the best beaches in Mallorca with its white sand and clear waters. Cabrera
11 miles off the southern coast of Mallorca, Cabrera is a haven for coastal creatures and natural splendour. It was declared a Maritime Terrestrial National Park in 1991; hence, it is uninhabited. Na Picamosques is this island’s highest point with a height of 172 m above sea level.
There are 50 mooring buoys on this island. On July and August, docking permits are given only for 1 night. For June and September, you can receive a permit for 2 nights. For rest of the year, 7-night permits are available. Keep these pointers in mind to avoid any hassle while sailing around Mallorca. An old fortress, Castillo de Cabrera, dating back to 15th century, lies adjacent to the harbour. Just south of this castle, one will find the anchorages for vessels.

Cala Figuera
Around 60 km south-east of Palma, Cala Figuera is the site of a small traditional fishing community with only 577 permanent residents. It was only around the 19th century when houses first started to appear in this place. Here, you can visit the wide natural harbour of Porto Colom, where you can spend leisurely time fishing. This small village is popular amongst wine connoisseurs. DO Pla I Llevant wine, which is unique to this town, has been distilled here since the Roman age. Rumours have it that Christopher Columbus was born in this place.
