Luxury Yacht Charter in Spain
Luxury Yacht Charter Across the Balearics and Spanish Coast
A Spain yacht charter gives you two cruising grounds in one country: the Balearic Islands, where Mallorca, Ibiza, Formentera and Menorca lie within a few hours of each other, and the Canary Islands, which keep sailing through the winter. Superyachts based in Palma and Ibiza move between calm family bays and beach-club anchorages, with our MYBA brokers handling berths, permits, and eco-mooring rules. August is the busiest corner of the Mediterranean, and one of the best organized.
Beach Clubs at Noon, Quiet Calas by Sunset
Spain is easy to love from the deck: short hops between islands, anchorages for every mood, and one of Europe’s longest charter seasons. A superyacht can have breakfast in a quiet cala off Menorca, lunch at a beach club in Ibiza, and be berthed in Palma by evening, with crew and broker managing the logistics in between. These are the reasons guests keep choosing it.
✔ Exceptional cruising in the Balearic Islands
✔ Wide variety of landscapes and atmospheres
✔ Excellent marinas for luxury yachts and superyachts
✔ Vibrant nightlife balanced with pristine anchorages
✔ Outstanding gastronomy and beach culture
✔ Long charter season with reliable weather
A luxury yacht charter in Spain is ideal for guests seeking variety, lifestyle, and refined coastal cruising.

YBH Broker Insight – “In the Balearics, the wind decides lunch more than the itinerary does. Every island has a sheltered side, and the best crews check the forecast each morning and choose the calmest anchorage that day. We ask the captain for a plan B bay for every day of the charter, so a change of wind changes the cala, not the mood of the day.” Giulia Di Leo – CEO of Your Boat Holiday
Two Cruising Grounds: the Balearics and the Canaries
The two regions suit very different holidays. The Balearics are the classic summer choice, with clear water, lively harbors and hidden coves within easy reach of each other. The Canaries are Atlantic and volcanic, with trade-wind sailing and a season that runs when the Mediterranean is quiet. Our brokers charter across both and can match the region to your dates and the trip’s mood.

Balearic Islands
Spain’s premier yacht charter region, offering crystal-clear waters, iconic nightlife and unspoiled calas.
Canary Islands
A year-round cruising ground with dramatic volcanic landscapes, offering a genuine alternative season to the Balearics’ summer-only rhythm.
Three Routes Guests Choose in Spain
These three routes show how differently you can cruise Spain, from a full Balearic circuit to a week of beach clubs or a coastal run north of Barcelona. All of them can be reshaped around the group, the yacht’s base and the wind on the day. Each links to a fuller itinerary where one exists.

When to Sail: May to October, and the Canaries in Winter
The Spanish season is long and each month has its own character. Early summer is quieter and fresher, August peaks for both weather and nightlife, and autumn offers warm seas and calmer harbors. Choosing the month often matters more than choosing the island.
✔ May – June: Ideal weather and fewer crowds
✔ July – August: Peak season and nightlife
✔ September – October: Warm seas and relaxed cruising
Spain offers one of Europe’s longest and most flexible charter seasons.

Why Book Through a MYBA Broker
Spain is one of the most requested charter destinations, and the best yachts and berths are held long before summer. As an MYBA-certified broker, Your Boat Holiday works under the MYBA contract, with VAT and APA terms clear from the start, and has access to yachts beyond those listed online, including off-market options. If it is your first time, our first-time charter guide explains each step.
Joining Your Yacht: Palma, Ibiza and Barcelona
Most Spanish charters start from one of three ports. Palma de Mallorca is the main superyacht base, with the airport a short transfer from the marinas. Ibiza Town and Marina Botafoch work for charters that begin on the white island, and Port Adriano suits mid-size yachts west of Palma. For city-and-coast itineraries, Barcelona is the natural start. We arrange flights, transfers and boarding times so you step aboard at the hour you choose.
Mallorca and Menorca: Bays, Cliffs and Calm Water
Mallorca is the largest of the Balearics and the best equipped, with Palma, the Tramuntana coast, and bays that stay quiet outside August. Menorca, a short sail east, is greener and slower, with white-sand calas and fewer crowds. Together they suit families and guests who prefer to anchor early and swim before lunch. Read more in our Mallorca yacht charter guide and Menorca yacht charter guide.
Ibiza and Formentera: Beach Clubs and Protected Seabed
Ibiza has more to offer than its clubs: Es Vedra at sunset, quiet coves on the north coast, and a lunch table by the water. Formentera is a short crossing south, with turquoise shallows and a strictly protected seagrass meadow. Yachts must use the designated eco-moorings and approved anchorage zones, which we plan in advance. See our 7-day Ibiza and Formentera beaches route and the Ibiza alternatives guide.
The Canary Islands in Winter
When the Mediterranean closes for the season, the Canaries stay open. Steady Atlantic breezes, volcanic landscapes and mild air make them a winter alternative for guests who want to sail in January or February. Distances between islands are longer than in the Balearics, so itineraries are planned around the wind and the sea state. See the Canary Islands charter page.
