This archipelago consists of over 20 islands, only four of them are inhabited. They are in the Aegean Sea, in particular in the area of sea which opens before the Pagasetic Gulf, where it’s located Volos, one of the most important seaports of Greece. The inhabited islands of the Sporades, where you can spend relaxing summer holidays, are Alonissos, Skiathos, Skopelos and Skyros.

The Sporades are the Greek islands that you do not expect: unlike the most famous Cyclades, arid and red-hot from the sun, the Sporades have a living nature and lush: the islands are full of forests, all the way to the sea water. Moreover, as also happens in the tropics, in these islands, there can get nice rains arriving, freshen the air and disappear soon after. If the color of Greece is typically the blue of the sea and its flag, the Sporades prefer the green color that almost everywhere assumes the sea.

Sporades is a complex of islands.
