YOUR JOURNEY, DAY BY DAY
7-Day Paros & Small Cyclades Yacht Charter Itinerary
Discover the quieter side of the Cyclades on a seven-day yacht charter beginning and ending in Paros. Cruise through the turquoise waters around Antiparos and Despotiko, explore the beautiful islands of Koufonisia, Schinoussa and Iraklia, and enjoy the lively waterfront of Naxos before returning to Paros. This sample itinerary balances beautiful anchorages, authentic island experiences and time to relax aboard, with every route adapted to your yacht, preferred pace and the prevailing Meltemi winds.
DAY 1
Paros to Antiparos
Embark in Paros and begin with a short cruise toward Antiparos, enjoying your first swim in the clear waters along its coastline. Spend the afternoon relaxing aboard before heading ashore to explore Antiparos Town, with its charming whitewashed streets, boutiques and relaxed waterfront restaurants.
YBH note: The first day is deliberately relaxed, allowing time for embarkation and a short introduction to the Paros cruising area. The captain will choose a suitable route around the shallow and restricted sections of the Paros–Antiparos channel.
DAY 2
Antiparos & Despotiko
Cruise toward the uninhabited island of Despotiko, where beautiful turquoise water and quiet bays create an exceptional setting for swimming and relaxing aboard. Enjoy lunch on deck, explore the surrounding coastline and, where visiting arrangements permit, discover the island’s archaeological heritage.
YBH note: Despotiko is one of the most rewarding natural stops near Paros. Anchorage and archaeological access are subject to local restrictions and sea conditions.
DAY 3
Despotiko to Iraklia
Continue east toward Iraklia, one of the Small Cyclades’ most peaceful islands. Discover a slower rhythm of island life, enjoy swimming in beautiful bays and spend the afternoon surrounded by unspoilt Aegean scenery. Head ashore for a traditional Greek dinner or enjoy a quiet evening aboard.
YBH note: The passage into the Small Cyclades crosses exposed waters. The itinerary may be adjusted or shortened during strong Meltemi conditions.
DAY 4
Iraklia to Schinoussa
Cruise the short distance toward Schinoussa, an intimate island known for its sheltered bays, clear water and authentic Cycladic atmosphere. Spend the day moving between suitable swimming spots, enjoying water sports and lunch aboard before an evening of traditional island hospitality.
YBH note: Schinoussa offers several possible coastal stops, but the captain will select anchorages according to wind direction, swell and yacht size.
DAY 5
Schinoussa to Koufonisia
Continue toward Koufonisia, celebrated for its exceptionally clear turquoise waters and beautiful sandy beaches. Spend the morning swimming and enjoying the yacht’s water toys before exploring the island’s relaxed waterfront village. Enjoy an evening at anchor or ashore, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Small Cyclades.
YBH note: Koufonisia is a highlight for guests who prioritise beautiful swimming areas and relaxed island experiences. Popular anchorages can become busy during the summer.
DAY 6
Koufonisia to Naxos
Cruise north toward Naxos, stopping for a swim along the coastline before heading toward Naxos Town. Explore the atmospheric old quarter, enjoy views of the famous Portara and discover excellent local restaurants before returning to the yacht for the evening.
YBH note: The passage toward Naxos and the waters between Naxos and Paros can be exposed during northerly Meltemi winds. Passage timing and overnight arrangements should remain flexible.
DAY 7
Naxos to Paros & Naoussa
Return toward Paros, enjoying the final views of the Aegean and, if the schedule permits, a last swim in a suitable bay. Discover the beautiful coastline around Naoussa before returning to the agreed disembarkation point, concluding a week of authentic Cycladic island-hopping.
YBH note: Disembarkation may take place in Parikia or another agreed location depending on the yacht. A visit to Naoussa is subject to weather, passage timing and the charter schedule.
