Ionian Islands yacht itinerary of 7 days
1st Day on a yacht – Corfu
Corfu is our home port for this yacht itinerary in the Greek Ionian Islands.
Corfu is the second northernmost island of the Ionian archipelago. Recently, the island has become even more popular after the success of the Netflix series Durrells, which has been able to give the proper visibility to the extraordinary wildlife of the island, to its stunning landscapes, as well as the warm hospitality of the islanders.
2nd Day on a yacht – Zakynthos
In one place, Zakynthos offers an ideal solution for both those who want moments of adventure and leisure from a yacht holiday and those looking for a more peaceful cruise around picturesque coves and beaches. Zakynthos is a trendy destination for those who wish to rent yachts for a family holiday with young children or for groups of friends who love nature.
Zakynthos is one of the largest and greenest islands in the southern Ionian Sea. It boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, an extraordinary marine world, idyllic landscapes, a mild climate, and enchanting sunsets that remain engraved in every tourist’s memory.
It is certainly no coincidence that the Caretta Caretta sea turtle has used the island for millions of years to lay her eggs.
We recommend Navagio Beach (or Shipwreck Beach, as it is more commonly known), for lunch aboard your charter yacht and a swim in its electric blue sea. It is a sickle-shaped bay with steep chalk cliffs, white sand, and deep blue waters, arguably one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece.
Lagunas, on the other hand, is the chosen destination for snorkelers and here too it is possible to meet turtles while diving. Another must-see destination, especially for a yacht holiday, is Capo Skinari on the northern tip of the island. The water is bright blue and reflects off the walls, creating a magical sapphire light show, the famous Blue Caves.
3rd Day on a yacht – Ithaca
Fame precedes this island. Ithaca, the home of Ulysses, is renowned for its rich culture and pristine beauty.
Part of the charm of this small island lies in its geographically diverse landscape, the scenery ranging from rugged cliffs to rolling hills to farmland; Ithaca offers unparalleled, unspoiled beauty.
Some of Ithaca’s most beautiful beaches are best reached by yacht, exclusive bays and breathtaking beaches are the perfect settings for swimming on days of pure relaxation in a magical demeanor. Sarakiniko Bay, one of Ithaca’s most beautiful beaches, is in a beautiful, peaceful harbor where guests, locals, and tourists alike can admire the lush green surroundings and emerald waters.

4th Day on a yacht – Kefalonia
Kefalonia is the largest island of the Ionian archipelago, and certainly one of the most beautiful, as well as the site of the beloved film Captain Corelli’s Mandolin.
To point out just a few of its enchanting bays, we mention Myrtos, an idyllic bay bordered by limestone cliffs, a must to admire the splendor of Xi Beach’s red sand.
5th Day on a yacht – Kastos and Meganisi
Kastos and Meganisi are small, enchanting islands that have remained remarkably untouched by the bustling world of tourism.
These islands offer the perfect opportunity to take a moment of pure relaxation, ideal for those who need to reclaim their space and their own rhythms. Here you can ask your captain to drop anchor for hours or days while you recharge.
Kayaking and paddleboarding are ideal water toys for exploring the two islands’ hidden coves and enchanting beaches.
6th Day on a yacht – Paxos and Antipaxos
Located between Lefkada and Corfu, in the Ionian Sea, they enclose a unique landscape beauty, here the pace of life is really slower, on a human scale.
Paxos also boasts a spectacular dive scene where enthusiasts can discover a magical kaleidoscope of marine and underwater landscapes, such as:
- The cave of Angelos,
- The coral reef of Agrila,
- The fortress of Petritis,
- The Cathedral Cave.
The presence of thermal springs on the island, with their warm, therapeutic waters, is interesting; in fact, it is said that they can cure all types of diseases, from rheumatism to skin diseases.
7th Day on a yacht – Back to Corfu
Greetings day. The yacht, with its guests, makes its last passage to the beautiful island of Corfu.
If you have the opportunity to plan your return, take some time, even all morning, to visit the island’s beautiful monuments and buy some typical products, perhaps from real local artisans. Corfu’s town and its soft colors know how to conquer every guest and will allow you to think about your next vacation aboard a yacht for hire in one of the most beautiful seas in the world: the Ionian Sea.
